Specifically, website compliance must be assessed against the criteria set out in chapters 9 “Web” and 10 “Non-web content”, which reference the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level A+AA.
The four fundamental principles of digital accessibility, as expressed by WCAG 2.1, are:
- Perceivable - Content is presented in a clear and understandable way.
- Operable - The interface is easily navigable by all users.
- Understandable - Information and operations are intuitive and easy to interpret.
- Robust - The website is compatible with the most common assistive technologies.
With reference to the above-mentioned UNI EN 301549 standard, which clearly lists the 50 success criteria to be considered when verifying the accessibility of a website, technical analyses have been carried out on the website content, including both textual and non-textual information, downloadable documents and forms, and forms of two-way interaction such as processing digital forms and completing authentication, identification, and payment processes. Of the 50 success criteria specified by current technical standards, the following is considered not applicable to this website: 1.2.4 Subtitles (live)
Exclusions from application Article 1, paragraph 5 of Legislative Decree no. 82/2022 states that the provisions of the decree do not apply to the following website content and mobile applications:

4. Compliance with accessibility requirements
Venchi S.p.A. has engaged a third-party digital accessibility expert to carry out a technical assessment of the website covered by this notice, following which a report was provided outlining the corrections and improvements needed to achieve compliance.
The accessibility features considered for the website available to users include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Compatibility with assistive technologies (e.g., NVDA, Jaws)
- Keyboard navigation
- Adequate color contrast

To further improve accessibility and user experience, a widget (UserWay PRO) has been integrated into the website. Its use by website users is completely free and helps improve the website’s compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1). UserWay PRO provides multiple features to improve website accessibility and user experience through a dedicated panel accessible by clicking the widget icon or via the keyboard shortcut CTRL+U, as listed below.
- Screen reader: reads all page content aloud without requiring installation of an external reader.

- Text enlargement: allows increasing text size on screen with four different levels, making every part of the site immediately more readable.
- Saturation: sets site color intensity to high, low, or grayscale.
- Contrast: inverts site colors or allows switching between light and dark contrast modes.
- Intelligent contrast: ensures all site colors fully comply with ADA standards, improving content visibility.
- Highlight links: highlights links, buttons, and other interactive elements with clear, high-contrast colors, making them easier to identify and improving usability and navigation.
- Pause animations: pauses moving or automatically updating content considered an accessibility barrier, stopping distracting animations and flashing content that may trigger seizures in at-risk users.
- Text spacing: modifies text and line spacing to improve readability for users with dyslexia and low vision, offering three adjustment levels.
- Line height: increases line spacing to ensure more comfortable readability.
- Text alignment: aligns text left, right, or center for a more accessible and customized reading experience.
- Dyslexia-friendly font: the “UserWay Dyslexia Friendly” font improves readability for users with dyslexia.
- Large cursor: increases cursor size by 400% to keep the pointer visible, enabling faster and more accessible navigation.
- Tooltips: displays alternative text and ARIA labels with a simple hover. Tooltips are high-contrast and easy to read.
- Page structure: quickly reveals page headings, landmarks, and links in a clear and structured way, helping users find content more easily.
In addition to the features users can activate via the accessibility menu, the UserWay PRO widget can detect many non-compliance issues and apply real-time corrections without modifying the source code, but only what is displayed in the browser. This makes the website more usable for all users, including those using assistive technologies.
